A picture of the tooth on the screen beside your chair, seconds after it is taken.
X-rays here are digital, so the image is up on the screen while you are still in the chair, at a lower dose than the film it replaced.
In the treatment room
- A sensor on the arm beside the chair, for one tooth or a small set.
- A panoramic unit, for a single picture of the whole jaw, both joints and the wisdom teeth.
- A screen at the chair, so you see what the dentist is looking at before anything is decided.
